Rockets' guard Eric Gordon reportedly injured his left ankle in a scrimmage against the Boston Celtics last night, according to insiders.
The injury came just before the end of the second quarter. Gordon appeared to land awkwardly on Celtics' center Vincent Poirier foot. He required help getting off of the court.
Test results came back negative on his ankle, but early reports are estimating that Gordon could miss one or two weeks with the injury, putting his availability for the Rockets' restart opener in jeopardy. More is likely to be known after Gordon receives a full evaluation on Wednesday.
Danuel House Jr. is a likely candidate to receive more time in the event that Gordon is unable to go for opening night, as is Ben McLemore.
